A lot of construction is going on in Allahabad for preparation of Kumbh Mela 2013. But Rods, overbrige, Sever line and other works is still in pending. Uttar Pradesh
government instructed the departments concerned to complete their
works for Kumbh Mela at Allahabad by November 15, 2012.
The direction was made by State
Chief Secretary Javed Usmani during a reivew meeting here. Now the
review of the preparation for the Kumbh mela would be done every
fortnight.
The state government decided that the Railway Board would be requested to run additional passenger trains during the period besides providing all passenger amenities at the stations.
The state government would also ask the BSNL and private mobile companies to install mobile towers and other facilities in the Kumbh mela area.
The state government has already allotted Rs 172.33 crores for bringing up facilities for the pilgrims attending the Kumbh mela ,in January next year. The government has sanctioned Rs 5.36 crore to install pipelines and tubewells for providing drinking water to the pilgrims.
Around 50 million people are expected to attend the Kumbh Mela at Prayag (Allahabad).
